Career Scope of Chemical Engineering

Career scope for chemical engineers in India is huge and it is one of the most lucrative engineering professions. A student when pursues chemical engineering with dedication at the graduation level, the chances of job offers with high pay packages are high.
A chemical engineer is not always required to work in an environment where he or she might always be required to be exposed to dangerous chemicals. Jobs in India for chemical engineering students are from different types of manufacturing industries such as paper, rubber, petrochemicals and petroleum, fertilizers, and various other inorganic and organic substances. Moreover, students having knowledge of computer languages are also employed in reputed IT companies on completion of their chemical engineering studies.

Courses related to chemical engineering

For searching a job in chemical engineering companies, both degree and diploma courses are acceptable. However, the degree course is of greater value and confers the status of an engineer to a student. The basic degree course required to become a chemical engineer is a bachelor’s degree in technology.
