Correspondence Civil Engineering Degree and Diploma

If you are an undergraduate or a diploma engineer who want to earn Correspondence Engineering degree in civil engineering then you read our previous post on AMIE. But today I am going to tell you one more institute which offers correspondence civil engineering degree.
This is our second post in the series of correspondence Engineering course which will be helpful to civil engineering diploma and Engineer professional who are seeking to get Engineering degree without attending college/institute.


The Institute of Civil engineers


Indian Institute of Civil engineers, India (ICE)

Indian Institute of civil engineers, India formed under registration Act 1860 and committed to enhance the standards of Civil engineering & Architectural engineering profession. It conducts the correspondence engineering degree and diploma level examination twice in the year. An Engineering degree and diploma can be obtained by passing examination, practical training and laboratory work.
I will rate it 3rd best Correspondence / distance learning engineering degree / diploma institute after The Institute of Engineers India (IEI) and IGNOU. The Institute of Civil engineers, India is recognized by the top government bodies such as Association of Indian universities (AIU), Distance education council, GPT- India, GATE, UPSC and Ministry of Human Resource development.

Associate membership in Civil Engineering / Architecture Engineering

Section A consists of total 6 papers and student can appear for 4 subjects in each attempt. Whereas section B consists of total 10 subjects. Moreover candidate has to undergo practical training after passeing the section A and B in approved AICTE engineering college.

Eligibility

- Diploma in Civil Engineering / Architectural Engineering; or
- Passed Technician membership examination of Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE)

Age

- Minimum 18 years

Technician membership in Civil Engineering / Architecture Engineering

Section A and B consists of 6 and 10 subjects respectively. After passing  the section A and B student is required to complete the practical training and laboratory work in AICTE approved Polytechnic or Engineering College.

Eligibility

- Passed secondary examination with PCM

Age

- Minimum 16 years
